Ortovox 3L Ortler Pants technical hardshell pants
The Ortovox 3L Ortler Pants are an uncompromising choice for ski mountaineering and alpine hiking in the most demanding conditions. This lightweight and highly durable hardshell model uses the top-notch non-porous DERMIZAX® NX membrane from the Japanese company Toray, which stands out for its extreme breathability and 100% resistance to wind and rain. Thanks to the four-way stretch material and anatomically shaped knee area, the pants provide maximum freedom of movement, which you will appreciate on steep ascents and demanding descents. Despite their robustness and three-layer lamination, the pants weigh only 446 g and are perfectly packable in any backpack.
Thoughtful technical details make these trousers the ideal partner for alpinists. Two-way 3/4 side zips allow for quick removal without having to take off your ski boots and also serve as effective ventilation holes. The inner waistband is lined with 120 Merino Tec material, which is very pleasant to the touch and effectively wicks away sweat. The lower part of the legs is reinforced with Dyneema and Cordura materials to protect against being kicked in by crampons or ski edges. Another practical feature is the 3D thigh pocket with an integrated carabiner for an avalanche transceiver, which is easily accessible even when using a climbing harness.
