If you continue to browse our site without changing the cookie settings in your web browser, we will take this to mean that you consent to the use of cookies on our website.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small data files sent by a web server to the browser, which stores them on the user’s computer (usually your PC or mobile device). Every time you visit the same site in the future, your browser sends the data back to the server.

In layman’s terms, then, cookies are information transmitted by a website to your hard disk for record-keeping purposes. They store your preferences when you visit a particular site. This data is aggregated, i.e. cookies do not contain information that could personally identify you, they cannot profile our system, and they cannot centralise information from your hard disk.

We use two basic types on our site. Short-term “session cookies” are temporary and remain stored in your browser only until you close it; long-term “persistent cookies” remain stored in your device for a lot longer or until you remove them manually (how long cookies remain in your device depends on the way the cookie itself has been configured and on your browser’s settings).

Blocking cookies

Where we use cookies on our website, you can block them at any time. To do this, activate your browser settings, where you can reject the settings of any or all cookies. As the blocking procedure depends on the browser you use, please refer to its help section, which will guide you through the process.

If, however, you use browser settings that block all cookies (including essential cookies), you may not have access to all or parts of our website and you may not be able to enjoy some or all of the features available via the website.
